Chipmunk South West

Chipmunk South West is based in Taunton, in the South of England. The company was stared over 35 years about by Nigel Dunn, all starting from the day Nigel sold his first bale of shavings for a local sawmill to a nearby horse owner. The family business has expanded and now Chipmunk (South West) specialised in manufacturing high quality wood based products for several markets such as animal bedding, cubicle bedding, riding and turnout surfaces, together with biomass fuel and horticulture products for the peat manufacturing trade.

• Equestrian and Agricultural Bedding – high quality animal bedding specifically for the equestrian and agricultural markets available in bulk orders of either 40Cu3 or 90Cu3 lorries such as large flake shavings, cubicle bedding and bespoke small wood chip bedding for beef cattle.

• We supply premium grade woodchip fuel throughout the UK. Chipmunk has firm relationships with landowners, sawmills and other raw material suppliers to ensure constant feedstock is achieved.

• We supply or supply and install a natural all-weather riding surfaces for all disciplines. Our carefully selected range of raw materials are processed to develop a stable and cost-effective fibre based surface. Having valuable experience within the equine industry, we fully understand what is required to ensure the perfect footing, having gained valuable feedback from clients over the past 25 years.

• Horticulture products for the peat making industry, suppling peat free growing media and can offer various blends tailored for end users.
